Moleskine Zaha Hadid Inspiration and Process in Architecture Monograph (5 x 8.25)

The collection of Inspiration And Process In Architecture is a new series of illustrated monographs dedicated to key figures in contemporary architecture. This new collection features Zaha Hadid's (Iraq/England; 1950 - present) stories told through interviews and drawings never before seen. Hadid's fluid style is reflected in her freehand drawings and paintings and subsequently in her realized sketches. In 2004 Hadid became the first female recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, architecture's equivalent of the Nobel Prize.

Follow this sequence of images piecing together her work between 1979 and 2010 in this new clothbound format, with a hard paper cover and colored spine matching the elastic band. The drawings inside are printed on glossy coated paper and are compiled into sections such as 'Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art,' and 'MAXXI - Museum of XXI Century Arts.' Be inspired as you follow three decades of Hadid's growth and art captured in this book.

Each Moleskine notebook includes a short history of the legendary Moleskine notebook (printed in English, Italian, French, Spanish, German and Japanese) found inserted inside the back cover of the book.

Moleskine (mol-a-skeen'-a) journals possess a minimalism, style and quality that literally has centuries of experience. To the initiated, there is no substitute. The Moleskine notebook is the heir and successor to the legendary notebook used by artists and thinkers over the past two centuries: among them Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, and Bruce Chatwin.

Today they are seen absorbing stories on trails and mountains journaling adventures; recording data at engineering sites; at coffee shops soaking up ideas and capturing artistic designs; at hospitals recording procedures, on planes keeping track of what has and is to happen - - in all cases being a trusted traveling companion.

Moleskine notebooks are designed in Italy. Most of the production comes from China.
