| | Description | | | | "These pages are rough drafts of songs from my musical Practical Anatomy, which was produced in January 2006 at Chicago's Storefront Theater. I'd written music idly for years, but when I got a pocket music notebook--a birthday present from my mother--my songwriting really took off. Often I jot lyrics on one side of a page spread, and then make notes about melody on the other side. Just having staff paper with me all the time has made a huge difference in the amount of music I write. - E.A. Bagby
